Weekly Wander!

New to me hike! I loved it!

I had never done this hike above Pemberton before, but boy was it a beauty!

We woke up early to meet for 8am and then took 2 vehicles up there as we had a group of ladies hiking together. All I can say is I'm glad I wasn't driving, lol, the water bars in the road are not something I like driving over and I don't think my car would do well.

I looked up this hike before going and it said it was moderate difficulty, but my legs and feet were TIRED.

It was totally worth it though. You start at this magnificant look out of the Pemberton Valley, then continue on through a beautiful forest with sunlight streaming through. I loved that there was uphill, flat, downhill....had it all, not just straight up which to me is no fun. LOL. Then you come around to the lake and we hung out there for a little bit.

It was cold, but a cpl of the ladies I was hiking with went in. Brrr....I could only stick my feet in. But it was crystal clear and beautiful. Fish jumping and the weather was perfect for us. Warm, not stupid hot, with a light breeze. Seriously the perfect hiking weather for us.

One of the ladies hiking with us decided we just HAD to do a "free the tatas" photo. I was like "do we though?" and then thought, why the hell not?! And so here's our fun photo. It felt so nice after taking the sweaty sports bra off, that the bra stayed off for the remainder of the hike. LOL. If you know that freeing feeling, you know!!

Definitly one I'd do again. It was super worth it, even if I felt super tired afterwards.

Let me know if you get out for a wander too, no matter how small! Getting out into nature and moving improves your mood, even if it's a quick 10-15 minute walk.

Cheers friends, until next weeks wander!
